What Gender Will it Be?

I am just beyond excited to find out the gender of our little baby tomorrow! I could hardly sleep last night! I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve! This is going to be such a fun surprise! With Talmage, my first ultrasound wasn't until I was 14 weeks along. During that ultrasound they told me it was a boy! Unfortunately, Jacob couldn't be there and we thought it was just a preliminary ultrasound. We had no idea that they'd be able to tell the gender that soon. With Emma, we both felt that she was a girl from day one. At my 12 week ultrasound, the tech guessed that it might be a girl so by the time we had our 20 week ultrasound, it was just a confirmation that yes, indeed, she was a girl! But with this 3rd, we both have no clue! Talmage thinks it's a girl but Jacob and I go back and forth between guessing if it's a girl or boy. So with that said, this will be such a fun and real surprise for all of us! I can't wait to start calling the baby by their name and making room for either a boy in Talmage's room or a girl in Emma's room.

So tomorrow morning it is! Our ultrasound is scheduled for 8:00am!

Shiner

Black Eye
Courtesy of Emma

Two days ago, on Monday, I was folding laundry when out of no where, my phone is thrown at my face! Yep, Emma was the culprit. She's been in this stage where she loves to throw things...toys, food AND my phone! It hurt so bad! So here is a photo of my eye today...2 days AFTER the tragic occurrence. I never imagined that my first shiner would be from my 19 month old GIRLY girl!

I Felt the Baby!

July 13, 2012

This morning I felt the baby move for the first time! I was beyond excited! It is the best feeling in the world! I've been waiting and waiting for this moment! I had just finished my morning workout when Emma woke up. It was still pretty early in the morning so I cuddled with her on the couch and she fell back asleep. While I was holding her, I felt the baby! I'm guessing it's because I had just worked out and then was lying quietly still for awhile. I counted 8 different movements! Oh how I loved that moment...holding my little 19 month old baby as she slept and then feeling my baby in my tummy for the first time. Pure bliss and happiness! What a great day!

18 Month Check-up

19 month Stats
7/10/12

Emma's 18 month check-up was delayed by a month so she was actually 2 days shy of being 19 months. I was so excited to hear that she only needed 1 shot and she won't be needing anymore shots until she turns 4!

Everything looks great and she's healthy as can be!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

July 3, 2012
28 years old

Jacob turned 28! Crazy how old he is getting! We started the morning off by sleeping in and then opening presents. Afterwards, we kept the Lewis family tradition that Jacob grew up with. We had little boxes of cereal to choose from for our breakfast and then enjoyed a foil-wrapped ding-dong. Then it was time for cake. Jacob is not a cake fan, even on his birthday. So this year, I tried something new. I made a Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cake. It was delicious! Just like eating a cinnamon roll. It was soooo moist and Jacob LOVED it! We even brought some over to his parents to try because he was so excited!

For lunch, we ate at Firehouse Subs, where Jacob received his free sub. It was yummy! Then we dropped some cake off at his parents and headed to the movies to see The Amazing Spider-man. Jacob scored us some free popcorn for his birthday too! And it was amazing! Then we shopped around at Chandler Fashion Center where we made a visit to The Lego Store. For dinner, we headed out for another free meal at Joe's Farm Grill. We've never been there and wanted to try it out. It was also yummy!

We had such a wonderful day!
Happy Birthday Hubby!
We love you!!

At The Lego Store, they had a mini build going on for the kids.
Talmage was able to build his own Olympic torch.

Emma loves the computer! Here she is trying to play a Lego game.

And of course, the Lego Wall...

Fun at IKEA

The kids LOVED playing in the children's section at IKEA. It almost seemed more fun than the park! We went on a Tuesday which meant free kids meals! So much fun!

Rock Wall

The entry of one of the stores, at the mall, was made of brick and had a slight incline. Talmage, being the crazy boy that he is, decided that he would climb it. Here he is!

Purple Lip Gloss

Crazy Make-up

I have a treasure bin with a bunch of fun stuff for my piano students. Well, after piano, I had it lying around. Oops! Emma found a purple lip gloss and thought she'd try it out! She is such a girly girl and loves makeup, jewelry, shoes, etc. I love it!

The Avengers

May 5, 2012

We saw The Avengers on May 5, in 3D at the IMAX. Talmage is in love with all super heroes so it was a must for us! Unfortunately, Emma was fussy and it was just too loud for her. So mommy and Emma left to go shopping while the boys finished up their movie. About a week or so later, we all went to see The Avengers again, this time in a normal theater. Emma did so well and actually seemed to enjoy it so much that she fell asleep.

May 23, 2012

We headed to the Lego Store for some fun and found these Lego Avengers. Talmage was so excited to get a picture with all the superheroes. And he even received a free poster! We just LOVE The Avengers!
