The Long Wait

Today I had another routine OBGYN appointment. Sometimes I think that these appointments are just a waste of time! I waited 45-55 minutes to be seen. Can you believe that? And once I was seen, all they did was hear the heartbeat (don't get me wrong, I LOVE to hear it!) and measure my belly. That's it!! Then the usual, "do you have any questions?" Well, my next appointment will be in a month and my next ultrasound will be at 28 weeks. Everything is normal and fine, which I am so happy about! I love being pregnant! It's so fun! I especially love it when he moves! So for now, I'm lovin the pregnancy and not really liking the appointments. Oh well!

Newest additions!!!

On Wednesday night, our long awaited couch was finally ready for pickup! I was so excited because we custom made this couch. It's so cool because no one else has it! The fabric is a chocolate brown and it is sooooooooooo soft! Love it! It came in three pieces, which we picked out, and they hooked together to form our new sectional! Also, we were able to choose what fabric we wanted for the three extra pillows so we chose a dark red in the same oh so soft fabric. And, Jacob put it together all by himself. He took 2 trips to bring it home and then unloaded the truck and put it together in our house. I felt so bad that I couldn't help. But that's what you get when you're pregnant! (Note: Our walls really aren't yellow. They are a golden tan.)

Here is our next newest addition that we got about a month ago. It's blue and brown. It looks so rich-like. And, it's not too girly for Jacob. Our next new addition will be a cherry wood bed frame. I can't wait because I don't like light wood very much. Well, there's our newest additions!

Ultrasound Pics Finally!!

These pictures are from my last ultrasound at 17 weeks. That was about 2 weeks ago so our little boy has changed since these pictures. Since the last utlrasound at 14 weeks, you can really tell just how much he's developed. It's so exciting! He truly is a miracle! The first picture is one of his feet. Isn't it so cute!! You can even see his toes! The second picture is recomfirming that YES, he is a boy!!! And the third picture is his head and body. We love our little boy!

I had another OB visit on Monday, April 7, 2008. Everything looks great with the baby! And they told me about my blood test and other prenatal test results. Everything is great! Yay! That's a relief! And since this was my first time having my blood drawn, I was anxious to get my blood type! And... I'm B +! Yep, I'm positive!

2nd Ultrasound...17 weeks!

Today I had my second ultrasound. It was a lot different than my first ultrasound.
Here's why:
-It was at Mercy Gilbert Hospital instead of the OBGYN office (insurance reasons)
-It was ONLY an ultrasound
-It was a longer ultrasound
-It was early in the morning (7:30 am)
-BEST of ALL!! Jacob was able to be there!!!
Today was such a great day already!!! I had a scheduled ultrasound on Monday, April 7 but the OGBYN office called and said I needed to make an appointment with the hospital because of my insurance. I thought this was a horrible idea at first and would inconvenience me to have to go to an ultrasound one day and then the doctor another day. I wanted it to be together!

Well, the Lord knows how things are supposed to be and that's why I just have to have faith! With Jacob's work schedule, he couldn't have made it to the ultrasound in the OGBYN office because of work. And he had already missed one ultrasound where we found out it was a boy. But, since the hospital is opened really early, Jacob was able to come see the ultrasound before work. It was meant to be! It was such a touching experience and one I wouldn't trade for anything! He loved seeing his little active boy move and so did I. I can't explain how good it felt for Jacob to be there and experience and see this wonderful miracle that we both helped create.

Wow! I love being pregnant! Who cares if my hips are getting bigger and my waist will never be the same! It's all worth it! Now I can't wait to meet our little boy and hold him and kiss him! Life is good! Miracles do happen!

Waiting for California Adventure to open

Well, this post is a little late but oh well! We went to Disneyland over Spring Break with my family: Mom, Dad, Ryan. Chantal, Sariah, Jacob, and I. Even though I hardly rode any rides, it was still a lot of fun! I actually enjoyed the little kid rides!! I'd never taken the time to go on them before but since that was all I could do, I took advatage of it! I think my favorite ride was Peter Pan. Oh and my OB doctor specifically said that I could go on Splash Mountain so that was a real treat!! Yay, a big kid ride! Well here are a few pics. I was in charge of the camcorder so I don't have very many pictures.

Surprise! We found out today we are having a boy! We weren't supposed to know until the next ultrasound but our little baby boy wasn't being shy at all! We are so excited!

1 year ago!

Happy Anniversary (March 10th!)

Our 1 year anniversary was March 10th, a week ago. We've been at Disneyland so I wasn't able to blog our anniversary. We had so much fun! We sold so many things through Craigslist that we were about to give to D.I. It was just like our wedding...free money!! Then, we went on a hunt to find me some maternity pants...no success! Everything is too big! After that, we ate dinner at Rainforest Cafe. It was an ok restaurant but we thought we'd try something new! Then, we went to the movies and saw College Road Trip!! Sooooo much fun! It is such a great movie and it's G!! Can you believe it? A movie with people is actually G - rated! Crazy! Well, overall, we had a great 1 year anniversary! I would post pics of us but our camera's battery died just as we arrived. Oh well!

The Heartbeat!

Today was my first prenatal visit!! So now I have the 110% confirmation that I'm pregnant! And, the best part was that we got to hear the heartbeat!!!! It was so awesome! The heart was beating 160 beats a minute. It was the most wonderful thing ever!! We are soooo excited! In two weeks I go back to get the 1st ultrasound!

Valentine's/Birthday! (a little late)

February 14th was not only Valentine's Day but it was my birthday!!! Jacob took me to the Phoenix Zoo for half of the day. It may not sound romantic but it was!!! Let me give you some background. Our first date was October 2006 to none other than the Zoo!! What a creative first day huh?? I thought so. Anyways, last year on my birthday we were engaged so I thought it'd be fun to go back to the Zoo. So since it's my birthday again, it was only tradition and memories that brought us back to the Zoo! We rented a double back just like we did on our first date! My hubby is so romantic! I just love him! Anyways, after the Zoo we went to my parents house and had a family party and then headed off to our reservation at Texas Roadhouse! Yum! Oh ya, I forgot, before the Zoo Jacob took me out to breakfast at Village Inn! What a great Valentine's/Birthday! Well, here are some pictures!
