OB Visit
I am officially 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced! The doctor said he has dropped (which explains the enormous pressure I feel!) and my water bag is really low. And I could go into labor at any moment! I am so ready! I can hardly walk and am really uncomfortable so this is GREAT news! Who knows...maybe my next post will be of Talmage! Wish us luck!

Nesting

I found this cartoon on the internet and thought it was hilarious. I can totally relate!!
We are finally moved in! It feels so nice to be on our own again. It's been crazy trying to unpack and find all of the baby stuff. Last night I had contractions all night long..ugh. So this morning I decided that I can't wait any longer to pack our hospital bag and get Talmage's things in order. I had a sudden burst of energy and I unpacked the whole house, went to Wal-Mart and Target, did all the laundry, cleaned the floors and counters and now I am about to teach piano lessons. Crazy day! I haven't felt well but I knew that he's coming soon so I had to get things in order! I've been having contractions but nothing too intense which is another reason why I've been so busy. It gets me so excited! I can't wait to meet Talmage. I just want to have him now. I guess we'll see how the contractions play out. Hopefully we'll get to meet our boy soon!

Updates!
Well, I've had 2 doctor's appointments since the last post. Everything is going well with me and Talmage. No more fevers and just the Braxton Hicks contractions. At my appointment 1 1/2 weeks ago, they said I was dilated to a 2 now!! My last appointment a few days ago, they didn't check me so who knows...maybe I could be more than a 2 at my next appointment. I'm still pretty thick. I'm only 50% efffaced. Also, I've passed my mucus plug (I know gross). So hopefully labor will be coming soon!
Tomorrow we are moving into our own place! It's been a month since we've been alone. I'm so excited! And I'm so glad Talmage is waiting for us to move in and prepare his nest! Well hopefully he waits just one more day. I think it'd be cool to have him on September 1, Labor Day. Plus, Jacob will already be off of work. It'd be perfect. But Talmage doesn't have a calendar in there so I doubt he'll come when we want him too.
That's pretty much the updates. I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and I'll post a belly picture soon!!! I'm getting huge! Not very many shirts fit now and I'm getting the "you look like you're about to pop" comments wherever I go. So today I'm doing last minute preparations for our move. I'll let you know how everything goes!

Hospital Visit #2
Well here we go again! On Tuesday morning I went into the hospital for contractions...again. They were coming every 2 minutes. Luckily though, they only dilated me a 1/2 centimeter. So I'm now 1 1/2 cm and 75% effaced. As a result, they weren't really worried about the contractions or stopping them like last time.
About 30 minutes after I got there, I spiked a low fever of 100. About 30-40 minutes later, it had increased to 102 which was bad news. Talmage's heartrate increased also. He was stressed out and couldn't release the heat he felt. His heartrate was in the 220's for awhile which was really scary!! I felt so bad. I just wanted my fever to go away and Talmage to cool down.
As a result, they started an IV, checked me in, got me a room and gave me some antibiotics. Throughout my stay, I'd break a fever and then get it back again over and over. They talked about possibly inducing me if the fever came back because it was too much stress on Talmage to have his heartrate keep going up. Luckily, the second dose of antibiotics worked and my fever stayed away. So I was finally released from the hospital Thursday night. Those were 3 long days! The doctor and nurses still aren't sure what was wrong with me...possibly a virus. But at least it is gone now and hopefully for good!
Baby Talmage and I are doing good now. No fevers! Yay! Now I'm 36 weeks and can't wait for the day that we get to meet our little boy. I'm sure he wants to finally check out of "Mommy Hotel".

We've Moved!
Monday we officially moved out of our house. We are still living with my parents until the end of August when our new place will be ready for us! I'm excited to get into a nice, new place that'll be safe for baby Talmage. Just hopefully he'll come after we've moved. This past week has been crazy and definately tiring!!
I kind of put my bedrest on hold. Oops! But now I'm back on bedrest. And I've been having a fever the last two days. So we're hoping that the contractions won't come back with the fever. I just feel bad for Talmage. He gets stressed when I get a fever and his heart rate goes up.

Crazy week!
Well this week has been crazy! I thought I should tell everyone just to update.
On Wednesday, I started contracting at 11:00 am and didn't stop. It just got worse and worse throughout the day. It got so painful that I could hardly breathe. I stayed on the couch all day. Finally my mom told me I needed to go to the hospital. So I waited for Jacob to come home from work at 6:00pm. Then I started to feel much better...I DID NOT want to go the hospital. Anyways, we ended up going to my parents house to eat dinner since I didn't feel good enough to cook.
Then the contractions came worse and in my back. It was the worse pain I have ever felt in my life! So we headed off to the emergency room where they took me up to the maternity floor to look at me. Little did I know...I was contracting every 2 minutes!!! Crazy! And then they checked me and I was already dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. So I had to spend the night and didn't get home until 10:00pm Thursday night.
They were giving me IVs, drawing my blood a million times and giving me shots of tribulene to stop the contractions. They put a monitor on me to monitor the contractions and one to monitor the baby's heartbeat. For awhile, his heartbeat was in the 180's! Scary! So anyway, I'm now on bedrest and can't drive, cook, clean or go to the store. I also am sick with the flu at the same time. It stinks. So we just moved in with my parents for now until I get off bedrest or have the baby.
I'm still having contractions every day so it is not fun! they are definately painful! I just hope they don't get too bad because I do not want to go back! And I'm going to the doctor at least once a week now. I just hope I can hold him in for at least a few more weeks!!

32 weeks 3 days BELLY PHOTO!
After many requests, I finally took a belly picture! I've been swelling a lot!! My arms face, legs, feet...everything! But I broke down and took a picture anyway! I just don't feel as "pretty" when I'm huge!
Well today was my OBGYN appointment and my glucose test. I was supposed to take the test at 28 weeks but it didn't work out. So here's a picture of an empty orange glucose drink. Yummy! It tasted ok but made me feel sick all day! Talmage sure liked it though! He kept moving around and it took them awhile to find his heartbeat.

Happy 24th Birthday Jacob!
Tomorrow (JULY 3rd) is Jacob's 24th birthday! He is so old! Jacob is the most amazing man, husband and soon-to-be father. He loves his family more than anything. Jacob loves to laugh and have fun. I've never met someone who hasn't loved Jacob. He is so kind and sensitive. And he is every kid's dream come true...always playing and wrestling with his nephews and nieces. I can't wait to see him as a DAD! I feel so lucky and privileged to be married to such a wonderful man. I look up to him so much! He's such a hard worker and would do anything to make sure his family is supported. Jacob is also one of the smartest people ever! He always has the right answer! And he has a way of talking to people. And if you know Jacob, he's a people person, always brightening others' days! He's pretty much the closest thing you can get to perfect! I love him so much and couldn't have asked for a better husband!
HAPPY 24TH HUBBA!

Another OB Appointment
Today was my 30 week OBGYN doctor's appointment. I was supposed to have my glucose tolerance test today too but they told me they were going to lunch. So I only had time to see the doctor. I was looking forward to getting it over with! But oh well, I'll try again next time. Everything looks great with the baby. As the nurse was listening to his heartbeat, he kicked the doppler and then wouldn't stop moving around. It was cute! I wonder how crazy he would've been if I had actually drank my sugary drink. Now I start my kick counting everyday after dinner. I don't think I'll even need to count! He's such an active little boy...just like his daddy!
