My Birthday

 

This year, for my birthday, Jacob wanted to give me a really big gift, instead of a bunch of little ones.

He knew I loved taking pictures of our kids and had an interest in photography/editing but was limited to a basic camera. It's never been in our budget to randomly buy a really nice camera. Sooo...

He bought me a professional Canon camera! It is amazing! I'm still learning though but I'm in love with it! I've always wanted to have pictures that blurred the background and now I can do it! He spoiled me!

 

In addition to my camera, he bought me birthday balloons, Valentine balloons, chocolates and a card.

Instead of a cake this year, I requested Lofthouse sugar cookies so that's what he got me. Yum! I'm in love with those cookies...I could eat the whole box!

 

We started the day off by opening my new camera, reading the manuals and taking some practice shots. Talmage has preschool in the morning and I insisted he not miss out on all the Valentine fun! So while he out, we went to breakfast. Then we picked Talmage up from preschool and headed out to the Zoo.

 

It was a perfect day for the Zoo. Not only was the weather wonderful, but it gave me an opportunity to try out my camera. Before heading out, we picked up some free Firehouse Subs for my birthday and also stopped by Chickfila.

 

First thing we did at the Zoo was eat our yummy lunch. Then we proceeded to look at all the animals, walk around, take pictures, etc.  The kids loved it!  After that, we headed to do some shopping, then Joes Real BBQ for my free meal.  We ordered it take-out and then made our way over to Joes Farm Grille for another free meal. While we were there, we split my 2 meals and had fun eating our yummy free food!

 

That night, we put the kids to bed and watched a movie together. It was such a fun day!

Ellie's Baby Blessing

Ellie's Baby Blessing 

 

Ellie Marie Lewis was blessed on February 10, 2013 by her daddy.

It was one of the most beautiful baby blessings I've ever heard. Really, it was.

I'm so grateful that Ellie has a father who is worthy to hold the Priesthood and give

her first Patriarchal blessing. It was so special.

Luncheon Pictures

I forgot to take pictures of the food and everything so

I took some that night and the next morning.

We had rolls with cheese, ham or turkey, fruit bowl,

veggie platter, cookies, mini cupcakes, and M&M's.



Jacob bought these flowers for Ellie. And the Madame Alexander doll

is hers that we picked out from Grandma Maren's collection of dolls.

We had to have a piece of Grandma there.

 



TBall Season Again

First TBall Practice of the Season

 

Talmage just started his 3rd season of TBall!

These pictures are from his first practice.

It was pretty cold but he didn't care. He was having a blast!

First walk with all 3 kids!

 Walk to McDonald's

1/31/13

This was the first time I took all three kids on a walk to McDonald's. Here the kids are at the start of the walk. They insisted on walking and not riding in the stroller.

It was a little cool out so here Ellie is all bundled up. I swaddled her in a blanket and then put another blanket on top. And added the hat for more warmth. She loved it and slept the whole time!

About 10 minutes into the walk, this is what the stroller looked like. Emma is on top, straddling her legs between Ellie. Talmage is in the bottom, where the diaper bag is supposed to go. We just made a triple stroller out of a single one. That's what moms do!

Cabbage Patch Doll

6 weeks old

I posted this picture of Ellie on Facebook last week and we received several comments saying she looks like a Cabbage Patch Doll. I love her cute dimple and her big, bright eyes! She's such a pretty little baby and so perfect! We just love our little dolly!

I always ask her, "Is she your baby?" And Emma replies, "No, sista."
