Another OB Appointment

Today was my 30 week OBGYN doctor's appointment. I was supposed to have my glucose tolerance test today too but they told me they were going to lunch. So I only had time to see the doctor. I was looking forward to getting it over with! But oh well, I'll try again next time. Everything looks great with the baby. As the nurse was listening to his heartbeat, he kicked the doppler and then wouldn't stop moving around. It was cute! I wonder how crazy he would've been if I had actually drank my sugary drink. Now I start my kick counting everyday after dinner. I don't think I'll even need to count! He's such an active little boy...just like his daddy!

Ultrasound tomorrow!

I am sooooooo excited!!!! We are having an ultrasound tomorrow morning at Mercy Gilbert Hospital...the same place I will be delivering at. It's been almost 3 whole months since we've seen our little boy!! I can't wait to see how much he's grown and to see him move! To me, the best part of being pregnant is the ultrasounds!!!! I LOVE them! And best of all, there's nothing embarassing or painful about them!

Unfortunately, in a week I'll be having another OB appointment for the Glucose test! Oh well though...if it's good for the baby, it's ok with me! I just dread everytime I get on the scale. I'm trying to watch my weight but it's hard, the numbers keep going up and up! I just have to remember that it's Talmage gaining weight, not me.

Last night, I was woken up at 3:30 am by baby Talmage. He was moving like CRAZY!! I had never felt him move so much! It felt like he was trying to do a flip but I doubt he accomplished that...there's no room anymore for those tricks! I guess he's just trying to prepare me for after he's born when he'll be waking up during the night.

I'll post pictures soon from our ultrasound tomorrow! I can't wait! It feels like Christmas Eve!

The Arizona HEAT!

I guess having a baby in September wasn't the greatest idea! But who plans those things! Lately it has been soooooooooooooooo hot! I never remember the Arizona summers being so dang hot! I honestly can't remember the last time I was actually cold, let alone cool and comfortable! With the AC on all day and a fan blowing in my face, I'm still HOT! I guess those extra pregnancy pounds really do matter! I just hope I can make through this summer heat! Thank goodness for pools!!!

Last week my car died and I had to wait outside for an hour to get picked up. That was definately not fun! Also, last week our AC went out when we got home one night. Thankfully it was fixed the next morning.

Any ideas for staying cool while carrying an extra 20 pounds? But don't get me wrong, I LOVE being pregnant and having a belly...just not the heat that comes with it!

Swelling!

This past weekend has been full of Swelling! Both of my feet and my hands have been swelling. It's been like this on and off since 21 weeks. On Saturday, I was so worried about our little boy because I hadn't felt him move ALL DAY! And he usually moves several time throughout the day. So, Jacob reassurred me that nothing was wrong with me and that he would help me get him to move. He pulled out a flashlight and shined in on my belly. And after about 5 minutes or so, he started moving!! Phew! I was worried! But, as soon as he started moving again, the swelling started. Pretty funny...I guess I brought that on myself. I do know that I'd rather be swelling and know that he is ok!
