My Project Transformation!

I'm so excited about this! I bought some outdated gold, brassy, ugly looking lamps at Goodwill. I loved the shape of them, just not the color. I wish I had a before picture but I forgot to put my memory card back in when I took the before picture. Any, you can just use your imagination.
They looked kind of like this lamp's brassy color...but worse!

So, I spray painted them black! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they turned out! And they look even better in person with the light on too!

(Sorry about the blurry picture and wierd angle, I'm a horrible photographer!)

I bought the lampshade at Walmart on clearance for $4 a piece. They were normally $15 a piece. Then I bought some ribbon to match our decor for $4 also. I figured out that if I bought the same size lamp base at Walmart, already painted black, it would've cost me $25 a piece!! Crazy! I love saving money! So all in all, I figured out that it cost me $32 for both lamps combined when I would've spent $64 to buy the same look!!

I love it!

Looks great! I have been afraid of spray paint for a long time. Mostly because I live in an apartment and finding space to paint has been a challenge. But, recently I used cardboard to block off my whole balcony and got to spraying! Now after seeing all these great transformations, I might become a spray paint junky!
