Happy Birthday Talmage Jacob Lewis!
August 30, 2011
He had a party with my dad and Linda at Chuck-e-Cheese on Saturday, August 29th. They brought a batman cake and presents. We had fun eating pizza and playing games. We also had a family party on Sunday, August 28th with my family at our house. We grilled, opened presents and had BATMAN cupcakes and ice cream. Talmage LOVES Batman so naturally his cupcakes were Batman.
Jacob took the day off for his birthday so we could have as much fun as possible. We started the day off by having cereal and Talmage opened his first present, a Batman bowl to eat his cereal in. Then we sang Happy Birthday to him and he blew out 3 candles from his Ding-Dong. Jacob's family has a tradition of having having your own individual cereal boxes to choose from and then a ding dong for each birthday. Then we hid his presents and he had to find them and then, of course, open them! He got a lot of Batman things including, two big batmans, a batmobile, a batcycle, etc. He also got some Superman stuff too. After he played with his toys for awhile, we took him to McDonald's to get a happy meal and play. Then it was time for preschool! He got a special hat there and they celebrated his birthday too! He brought treats for his class too! After picking him up from school, we headed to Toys R Us and then the Lego store. There he made 3 mini figures and filled up a bucket of legos! Finally it was time for dinner so we took him to his favorite restaurant...Rosa's Mexican Grill. He loves the green sauce! And for dessert, a Krispy Kreme donut! We had a blast together!!
I can't believe my baby is 3...and now a preschooler! I'm so lucky to have such a good and sweet little boy!
He is so much fun and loves to just PLAY! He is talking more and more everyday. It's amazing to watch how smart he's getting. He now knows his shapes, colors and can count to 10 by himself. He's starting to talk in sentences now and knows everyone's names in his preschool class. I love this boy so much and feel so privileged to be his mommy! Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better boy. He never went through the terrible 2's...more like terrific 2's. He continues to be AWESOME at going potty. He's been potty trained now for a full year! It is so helpful that he can just go by himself and I don't have to worry about diapers or wetting. He's amazing...just amazing. We recently went to the doctor for his 3 year check up and the flu shot!
Here are his current stats:
Weight: 29 lbs 25th percentile
Height: 35.5 in 10th percentile
