Measuring at 38-39 weeks!

Nothing fits over my belly anymore! I feel like she could come any day now. I have an ultrasound and doctor's appt on Tuesday, at 37 weeks. We can't wait to see my progress and our cute little girly!

Thanksgiving Advent

After all the decor and excitement of Halloween was over, I felt like there was nothing left for Thanksgiving. There's always fall decor, but not much focused on the actual holiday of Thanksgiving. So I came up with a Thanksgiving advent calendar. I cut out a tree from a few pieces of brown construction paper. Then, I cut out multiple fall leaves, totaling 22, for 22 days until Thanksgiving. We started on November 1st. Each day, the kids would choose a leaf and add it to our Thanksgiving tree. Then, we'd write something that we were thankful for. The kids absolutely LOVED this! Everyday, they always reminded me that we needed to put up another leaf. So here is a picture of the finished product, on Thanksgiving!

33 week Ultrasound

We had another ultrasound on Wednesday, November 7, at 33 weeks and 1 day. Our little girl is still measuring 2 weeks ahead! My original due date, when we found out I was pregnant, was December 12, 2012. Then I had my first ultrasound. For some reason, she was measuring almost 2 weeks behind. This pushed my due date back to December 25, 2012. Now that she's measuring ahead by 2 weeks, it makes sense. My thought is, that she's just developing at her own rate, because the original due date matches. Although the doctors aren't officially changing my due date back, we are preparing and planning as if she's coming in early December. We are so excited for her to be here! Below are the photos of our sweet baby girl from our 4D ultrasound.

And the bumpiness on her head is her HAIR!

Love her scrunched up face! Emma loves to mimic it.

The Rug Doctor

After living in our house for 3 years now, we finally decided the carpets and couch needed to be deep cleaned. So, we rented a rug doctor and went to work. The family room was the worst so that took a few hours. The couch itself took 2 hours and the other rooms just took a few minutes. It feels so nice to have a cleaner couch, just in time for our sweet baby girl to arrive!

Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment. I was hoping for another ultrasound but knew that most likely I wouldn't receive one. After the 20 week mark, only medically necessary ultrasounds are performed. So if the pregnancy seems normal and measurements are on track, they won't schedule an ultrasound. Knowing this, I still thought I'd ask. The nurse practitioner I was meeting with at time, told me that she'd measure my belly and see how if I was on pace. To my surprise, I was measuring 2 weeks ahead. She then ordered an ultrasound right then to check on the baby. Either there was too much fluid or the baby was actually large and measuring ahead. Overall, the baby is about 2 weeks ahead but her head circumference is measuring 3 weeks ahead. My due date is still December 25th but I am hoping for much sooner. I don't want to deliver a huge baby! So for everyone who says my tummy is small and I don't look very far along...you're wrong! I'm actually 2 weeks larger!  We get another ultrasound in 2 weeks to see the progress!

1st Haircut

Emma's 1st Haircut

I finally broke down and decided to cut Emma's hair. It was getting pretty long but the ends tapered in and were extremely thin. I knew that in order for her hair to thicken up, I had to cut it. Now it's all one length, in the back, and already feels thicker. Here she is, the day she turned 22 months...
