OB Visit
I am officially 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced! The doctor said he has dropped (which explains the enormous pressure I feel!) and my water bag is really low. And I could go into labor at any moment! I am so ready! I can hardly walk and am really uncomfortable so this is GREAT news! Who knows...maybe my next post will be of Talmage! Wish us luck!

Nesting
I found this cartoon on the internet and thought it was hilarious. I can totally relate!!
We are finally moved in! It feels so nice to be on our own again. It's been crazy trying to unpack and find all of the baby stuff. Last night I had contractions all night long..ugh. So this morning I decided that I can't wait any longer to pack our hospital bag and get Talmage's things in order. I had a sudden burst of energy and I unpacked the whole house, went to Wal-Mart and Target, did all the laundry, cleaned the floors and counters and now I am about to teach piano lessons. Crazy day! I haven't felt well but I knew that he's coming soon so I had to get things in order! I've been having contractions but nothing too intense which is another reason why I've been so busy. It gets me so excited! I can't wait to meet Talmage. I just want to have him now. I guess we'll see how the contractions play out. Hopefully we'll get to meet our boy soon!

Updates!
Well, I've had 2 doctor's appointments since the last post. Everything is going well with me and Talmage. No more fevers and just the Braxton Hicks contractions. At my appointment 1 1/2 weeks ago, they said I was dilated to a 2 now!! My last appointment a few days ago, they didn't check me so who knows...maybe I could be more than a 2 at my next appointment. I'm still pretty thick. I'm only 50% efffaced. Also, I've passed my mucus plug (I know gross). So hopefully labor will be coming soon!
Tomorrow we are moving into our own place! It's been a month since we've been alone. I'm so excited! And I'm so glad Talmage is waiting for us to move in and prepare his nest! Well hopefully he waits just one more day. I think it'd be cool to have him on September 1, Labor Day. Plus, Jacob will already be off of work. It'd be perfect. But Talmage doesn't have a calendar in there so I doubt he'll come when we want him too.
That's pretty much the updates. I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and I'll post a belly picture soon!!! I'm getting huge! Not very many shirts fit now and I'm getting the "you look like you're about to pop" comments wherever I go. So today I'm doing last minute preparations for our move. I'll let you know how everything goes!

Hospital Visit #2
Well here we go again! On Tuesday morning I went into the hospital for contractions...again. They were coming every 2 minutes. Luckily though, they only dilated me a 1/2 centimeter. So I'm now 1 1/2 cm and 75% effaced. As a result, they weren't really worried about the contractions or stopping them like last time.
About 30 minutes after I got there, I spiked a low fever of 100. About 30-40 minutes later, it had increased to 102 which was bad news. Talmage's heartrate increased also. He was stressed out and couldn't release the heat he felt. His heartrate was in the 220's for awhile which was really scary!! I felt so bad. I just wanted my fever to go away and Talmage to cool down.
As a result, they started an IV, checked me in, got me a room and gave me some antibiotics. Throughout my stay, I'd break a fever and then get it back again over and over. They talked about possibly inducing me if the fever came back because it was too much stress on Talmage to have his heartrate keep going up. Luckily, the second dose of antibiotics worked and my fever stayed away. So I was finally released from the hospital Thursday night. Those were 3 long days! The doctor and nurses still aren't sure what was wrong with me...possibly a virus. But at least it is gone now and hopefully for good!
Baby Talmage and I are doing good now. No fevers! Yay! Now I'm 36 weeks and can't wait for the day that we get to meet our little boy. I'm sure he wants to finally check out of "Mommy Hotel".
